Macavity can be an imaginary character of the poet. He can be a mystery cat or a hidden paw. He can be a master criminal in feline shape.

Macavity is a tall, thin, and domed head ginger cat in dusty coat. He has sunken eyes, lined brow and uncombed whiskers. He sways his head like a snake.

The poet is fond of cats even then the calls Macavity a fiend and monster. The reason is that he is a master criminal who defies and breaks human and natural laws. He is utterly depraved. He misuses his powers of levitation. His physical features are frightening too.
