Geography Lesson Summary and Translation in Hindi

कविता के बारे में: 

क्या आप कल्पना कर सकते हैं कि आपका शहर कैसा दिखाई देगा यदि आप इसे जमीन से दस हजार फीट की ऊँचाई से देखें? साफ-सुथरे ढंग से नियोजित और आकृति में पूर्ण ज्यामितीय रूपरेखा जैसा, यह आपको अपने वास्तविक रूप से कुछ बहुत भिन्न लगेगा जब आप इसके सबसे भीड़भरे भाग में (को देख रहे) होंगे। यहाँ भी कवि अपने शहर को (आकाश/अन्तरिक्ष से) देखने का व कुछ प्रश्न जो उसके मस्तिष्क में आते हैं उनका भी, विवरण दे रहा है।

कठिन शब्दार्थ - 
jet (जेट) = एक आधुनिक तीव्रगामी विमान, sprang (स्प्रैन्ग) = तेजी से छलांग लगाई, developed (डिवेलप्ट) = विकसित हो गया था, scaled (स्केल्ड) = चढ़ा, inevitability (इनएविटॅबिलॅटि) = अवश्यम्भाविता; haphazard (हैपहैजॅड) = अव्यवस्थित, unplanned (अनप्लैन्ड) = अनियोजित। 

हिन्दी अनुवाद - 

जब जेट विमान तेजी से आकाश में उड़ा तो यह स्पष्ट हो गया कि शहर (मेरा शहर) जैसा था वैसा क्यों विकसित हुआ था, जब एक मील छः इंच की. नाप जैसा दिखाई दिया। यह एक अनिवार्यता प्रतीत हुई कि जो जमीन पर (निम्नता से) अव्यवस्थित, अनियोजित व आकृति रहित दिखाई दिया था (वह उच्चता से सुंदर दिखा) और यह तब हुआ जब जेट विमान तेजी से आकाश में उड़ा।

कठिन शब्दार्थ -
valley (वैलि) = घाटी, populated (पॉप्युलेटिड) = आबाद हुई, logic (लॉजिक) = तर्क, delineated (डिलिनिएटिड) = दिखाया। 

हिन्दी अनुवाद - 

जब जेट विमान दस हजार फुट की ऊंचाई पर पहुंचा तो यह स्पष्ट हो गया कि देश में शहर वहाँ ही क्यों थे जहाँ नदियाँ बहती रहीं और घाटियां क्यों आबाद हुई थीं। भूगोल का तर्क यह है कि भूमि व जल ने मानव को आकर्षित किया, यह सब स्पष्ट रूप से तब प्रकट हुआ जब जेट विमान 10 हजार फुट की ऊँचाई पर पहुंचा।

कठिन शब्दार्थ -

causes (कॉजिज) = कारण, build (बिल्ड) = निर्माण करना, across (अक्रॉस) = आरपार। 

हिन्दी अनुवाद - 

जब जेट विमान छ: मील की ऊँचाई पर था तब यह स्पष्ट था कि पृथ्वी गोल थी और यह भी स्पष्ट था कि इस, पर जमीन से अधिक समुद्र था। लेकिन यह समझना कठिन था कि मानव ने पृथ्वी पर एक-दूजे से घृणा के लिए, शहर के आर-पार दीवार निर्माण करने के लिए व मारने के लिए कारण ढूँढ़ लिये थे। उस ऊँचाई से यह स्पष्ट नहीं हुआ कि क्यों (कारण ढूंढ लिये थे)।
