Answer:
In the olden days, the loan taken out was at a high-interest rate. In the event of failure to repay the loan, moneylenders used to grab the farmer's cattle, property and agriculture, while the co-operative societies in the bank provide the facility of repayment of loans in installments at low-interest rates. In case of disaster, the time limit for loan payment is also extended, so that the farmers repay the loan of the bank conveniently.
