RBSE Class 8 English Grammar Pronoun

1. Pronoun

परिभाषा-Pronoun (सर्वनाम) वह शब्द है जो किसी Noun (संज्ञा) के लिए प्रयुक्त होता है। Pronoun is a word used in place of a Noun. 
उदाहरण-
1. Ram is a boy. He goes to school. (दूसरे वाक्य में 'He' शब्द का प्रयोग 'Ram' के लिए हुआ अत: 'He'-Pronoun है।) 
2. They play football. ('they' किन्हीं लोगों के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है।) 
3. You sleep at night. (यहाँ 'you' तुम्हारे लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है, तुम्हारा नाम नहीं लिखा है, तुम्हारे 'नाम' के स्थान पर 'you' का प्रयोग हुआ है, इसलिए 'you'- Pronoun
प्रकार - Pronoun आठ प्रकार के होते हैं।

1. Personal Pronoun (व्यक्तिवाचक सर्वनाम)-वे Pronoun जो किसी व्यक्ति (पुरुष, स्त्री, लड़का, लड़की) के नाम के स्थान पर आते हैं, Personal Pronouns कहलाते
Personal Pronouns ये हैं - I, my, me; we, our, us; you, your/yours; he, his, him, she, her/hers; it, its, they, their, them. 
He, his, him का प्रयोग पुरुषों के लिए, She, her/ hers का प्रयोग स्त्रियों के लिए तथा It, its का प्रयोग वस्तुओं तथा पशुओं के लिए होता है। 

(i) Raju is a good boy. He comes to me. (पुरुष) 
(ii) Sita is my sister. She cooks food. (स्त्री) 
(iii) I bought a table. It is beautiful. (वस्तु) 
(iv) Adog is an animal. It has four legs. (पशु) 

2. Reflexive Pronoun (निजवाचक सर्वनाम)

जिस Pronoun से काम का प्रभाव Subject (कर्ता) पर पड़ना प्रकट हो - अन्य किसी पर नहीं तो उसे Reflexive Pronoun कहते हैं, जैसे
1. She cooked food herself. 
2. I cut myself.
3. We will do it ourselves.

RBSE Class 8 English Grammar Pronoun

Godlen Rule: Pronoun में आवश्यकतानुसार -self |अथवा -selves जोड़कर Reflexive Pronoun बन जाता | है। ध्यान रहे, Pronoun में ही --self अथवा selves | जुड़ता है। Self एकवचन में प्रयुक्त होता है, selves बहुवचन में प्रयोग किया जाता है, जैसे|

I.....myself
He......himself 
We....ourselves 
She....herself 
You.....yourself 
They.....themselves yourselves
It.....itself 

3. Emphasizing अथवा Emphatic Pronoun 

(दृढ़तावाचक सर्वनाम) - जिस Pronoun का प्रयोग कर बात को दृढ़तापूर्वक कहा जाये, उसे Emphatic Pronoun 1(दृढ़तावाचक सर्वनाम) कहा जाता है, कथन में कर्ता | (subject) अथवा विधेय (predicate) पर जोर देने के लिए Emphasizing Pronoun का प्रयोग किया जाता है, जैसे
1.  I myself cooked food. 
2. She herself made tea. 
3. The king himself saw the case.
4. Sita herself opened the door. 
5. He himself did it. 

Golden Rule -
1. Pronoun के साथ आवश्यकतानुसार -self अथवा -selves जोड़ने से Emphasizing अथवा Emphatic Pronoun बनते हैं। 
2. Emphatic pronoun का प्रयोग क्रिया से पहले कियाजाता है। 

4. Relative Pronoun (सम्बन्धवाचक सर्वनाम)

जो Pronoun दो वाक्यों को जोड़ने का कार्य करे और उसका antecedent (पूर्ववर्ती) भी हो, वह Relative Pronoun कहलाता है। जैसे| 
This is the man. He stole my purse. 
This is the man who stole my purse. 

Antecedent (पूर्ववर्ती) Relative Pronoun जिस

Noun अथवा Pronoun के लिए आता है, वह Noun (अथवा Pronoun) उसका antecedent कहलाता है। ध्यान रहे कि Antecedent तथा Relative Pronoun हमेशा | एक-दूसरे के पास ही आयेंगे।

ऊपर उदाहरण में who-realative pronoun है, यह 'man' के लिए आया है, अतः 'man'—(who का) antecedent है।
प्रमुख Relative Pronoun हैं-who, whose, whom, which, that. 

ध्यातव्य : 
1. who, whose, whom केवल व्यक्तियों के लिए आता है। 
2. which वस्तुओं तथा पशुओं के लिए आता है। 
3. that सभी के लिए (व्यक्ति हो, वस्तु हो अथवा पशु हो) प्रयोग किया जाता है। 

5. Interrogative Pronoun (प्रश्नवाचक सर्वनाम)

जो Pronoun प्रश्न पूछने का कार्य करता है, उसे Interrogative Pronoun कहते हैं। प्रमुख Interrogative Pronouns हैं-who, whose,
whom, which. : 
1. Who is going ? 
2. Which is your pen? 
3. What do you want ? 
4. When will you come ?

नोट-आपने देखा कि Relative Pronoun तथा Interrogative Pronoun समान हैं, लेकिन इनके प्रयोग में अन्तर है। 
Interrogative Pronoun सदैव वाक्य के आरम्भ में आता है; Relative Pronoun वाक्य के बीच में आता है। 

6. Demonstrative Pronoun (संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम)

वे Pronoun जो किसी 
(i) व्यक्ति, 
(ii) वस्तु, अथवा 
(iii) पशु की ओर संकेत करते हैं, Demonstrative Pronoun कहलाते हैं। 

प्रमुख Demonstrative Pronouns ये हैं-
1. This, 2. That, 3. These, 4. Those, 5. It. 
1. This is Raju. (व्यक्ति ) 
2. It is your cow. (पशु) 
3. That is a gopd pen. (वस्तु) 
4. These are camels. 
5. Those are my books. 

7. Indefinite Pronouns (अनिश्चयवाचक सर्वनाम) 

Indefinite का अर्थ है - अनिश्चित। अत: Indefinite Pronouns वे हैं जो किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, वस्तु अथवा पशुओं के विषय में नहीं बतलाते हैं, वरन् अनिश्चित व्यक्ति, वस्तु अथवा पशु के विषय में बतलाते हैं। प्रमुख Indefinite Pronouns निम्नलिखित हैं
(one, some; none, many, somebody, everybody, - nobody, anybody.
1. One should not go there.
2. Some were writing, some were reading. 
3. None came to my house. 
4. Many failed in the examination. 
5. Someone broke my cup. 
6. Everybody laughs at my foolishness 
7. Nobody was taking tea. 
8. Has anybody failed in the examination ?

8. Distributive Pronoun  Pronoun

Distributive Pronoun - either, neither, each, any, none. 
1. Each of the boys was playing 
2. Either of the two girls was weeping. 
3. Any of these ten boys can go. 
4. None of the ten boys was fined.
