Why is water important for us?
Answer:
Water is life. We cannot think of survival without water. Its scarcity, may create many problems but its absence must lead to no life on earth. It is a very precibus natural resource of the nature. It quenches our thirst and for every activity we need water like washing, cooking gardening, etc. Industries also need water for their functioning. Thus, water is very essential and we must conserve it.

(iii) What are the factors affecting the height of the waves?

Answer:
Ocean water is salty because it contains large amount of dissolved salts. Most of the salt is sodium chloride or common table salt that we eat.
(ii) The quality of water is deteriorating.
Answer:
The quality of water is deteriorating because we get it from polluted water sources. These water bodies are getting polluted due to dumping of untreated waste, sewage, pesticides, toxic chemicals and decayed materials into it.
