Think of a few renewable resources and mention how their stock may get affected by over use.
Answer: 
Renewable resources are those which get renewed or replenished quickly. Some of these are unlimited and are not affected by human activities, such as solar and wind energy. But there are some renewable resources which seems to be unlimited, like water. But excessive use of these leads to their shortage, just as water problem has arisen in many cities of the country today.

Make a list of five human made resources that you can observe around you.

(i) The distribution of natural resources depends, upon a number of physical factors like terrain, climate and altitude. The distribution of resources is unequal because these factors differ so much over the earth.

(ii) Resource conservation-using resources carefully and giving them time to get renewed is called resource conservation.

(iii) Human resources are important because people can make die best use of nature to create more resources when they have the knowledge, Skill and the technology to do so. That is why human beings are a special, resource. Education and health help in making people a valuable resource.

(iv) Sustainable development - balancing the peed to use resources and also, conserve them for the future is called sustainable development. It not only meets the requirements of the present but also takes care of the future generations,

Activity-
“Rahiman paani raakhiyc.
Bin paani sab soon.
Paani gaye ha uberc Moti, manus, choon...”
[Says Rahim, keep water, as without water there is nothing. Without water pearl, swan and dough cannot exist.]
These lines were written by the poet Abdur Rahim Khankhana, one of the nine gems of Akbar’s court. What kind of resource is the poet referring to? Write in 100 words what would happen if these resource disappeared?
Answer: 
The poet is pointing towards water resources here. According to the poet, water is an invaluable resource. Stating the importance of water, he has said that water is life. Human life is meaningful only by water. Water is used for drinking, water is used for irrigation. Apart from drinking, bathing, washing clothes, cooking, etc. depends on water only.

If water is exhausted’ human life will be destroyed. Along with this, vegetation and animal world also cannot remain alive due to lack of water. That is why water is of paramount importance. Water is a renewable resource, but the amount of pure water is decreasing. Therefore, water should be used properly.
