→ The presence of specific features or certain habits, which enables an organism to live naturally in a place is called adaptation.

→ Habitat means a dwelling place (a home).

→ The plants and animals that live on land are said to live in terrestrial habitats. Examples of terrestrial habitats are forests, grasslands, deserts, coastal and mountain regions.

→ The habitats 6f plants and animals that live in water are called aquatic habitats. Examples of aquatic habitats are lakes, rivers and oceans.
