Rajasthan Board RBSE Class 7 English Vocabulary Gender
Gender से आशय है लिङ्ग। इस प्रकार के प्रश्न में पुल्लिंग शब्द से स्त्रीलिंग शब्द बनवाया जाता है अथवा स्त्रीलिंग शब्द से पुल्लिंग शब्द। पुल्लिंग (Masculine Gender) से स्त्रीलिंग (Feminine Gender) बनाने के मुख्य नियम निम्न प्रकार हैं-
Rule – 1 : शब्द परिवर्तन करके
boy – girl
father – mother
Rule – 2 : अन्तिम Vowel को हटाकर -ess लगाकर
tiger – tigress
actor – actress
Rule – 3 : शब्द के अन्त में -ss लगाकर
poet – poetess
lion – lioness
Rule – 4 : अनियमित रूप से -ess लगाकर या -ss या – लगाकर
god – goddess
prince – princess
Mr. – Mrs.
Rule – 5 : Compound word में प्रारम्भ अथवा अन्तिम शब्द बदलकर
grandmother – grandfather
washerman – washerwoman
