Adverb वह word है जो verb या another adverb या adjective के बारे में additional information देता है। Adverbs of Manner (रीतिवाचक क्रिया विशेषण)

Examples :

2. The students were (Helping Verb) definitely (Adverb of Manner) trying (Verb to learn) to learn.
3. She sang (verb) sweetly (Adverb of Manner)

Explanation (व्याख्या)
• उपर्युक्त सभी वाक्यों के Adverbs of Manner [AOM] में :-ly' को adjectives के

पीछे जोड़ा गया है, जैसे-brief + ly = briefly. अतः ध्यान रखें कि adjective + ly = Adverb of Manner होता है।

• उपर्युक्त सभी वाक्यों की क्रियाओं (Verbs) से पूर्व 'How-कैसे' लगाकर प्रश्न पूछे तो उत्तर AOM द्वारा प्राप्त हो जाता है, जैसे

प्रथम वाक्य की Verb = told 
How लगाया = How told 
उत्तर आया = briefly (जो एक AOM) 

अतः ध्यान रखें कि AOM यह बताते हैं कि 'कैसे' या 'किस रीति से' (how or in what manner ) कार्य हुआ है।
