Weight of an apple = 75 grams
Weight of an orange = 40 grams

Question 2.
Mona's father is thrice as old as Mona. After 12 years, his age will be twice that of his daughter. Find their present ages.
Answer:
Let Mona's present age = x years
Mona's father's present age = 3x years
After 12 years Mona's age will be = x + 12 years
Mona's father's age after 12 years = (3x + 12) years
Now, 3x + 12 = 2 (x + 12)
⇒ 3x + 12 = 2x + 24
⇒ 3x - 2x = 24 - 12
(Transposing 2x to LHS and 12 to RHS)
⇒ x = 12
Hence, Mona's present age = 12 years
Mona's father's age = 12 × 3 = 36 years
