Co-ordinating Conjunctions both....and, so, Neither...nor, But

Co-ordinating conjunctions वे शब्द होते हैं जो | सामान्यतः same grammatical class के sentence elements को connect (जोड़ते) करते हैं।
[नोट-यहाँ कुछ प्रमुख conjunctions को समझाया जा रहा है।]

Both.... and : इनका प्रयोग हम तब करते हैं जब किन्हीं दो व्यक्तियों, दो जानवरों, दो स्थानों या दो वस्तुओं के बारे में बात की जा रही हो।

RBSE Class 6 English Grammar Imperative Sentences

So: इससे ऐसे दो वाक्यों को जोड़ा जाता है जिनमें एक वाक्य में कारण बतलाया गया हो तथा दूसरे में परिणाम। So कारण-परिणाम सम्बन्ध को व्यक्त करता है। so को परिणाम वाले उपवाक्य के पहले लगाया जाता है। वाक्य जोड़ते समय so से पहले कौमा (,) लगाते हैं।

Neither....nor : इनका प्रयोग हम तब करते हैं जब हमारा आशय दोनों से ही नहीं होता है।

But : But का प्रयोग कर ऐसे दो वाक्यों को जोड़ा जाता है जो आपस में विरोधाभास रखते हैं।

Combine the following sentences using the words given in the brackets :

1. Kalpana was born in Karnal, Haryana. She was a naturalised citizen. (but) 
2. The little girl was not blind. She was not lame. (neither....nor) 
3. The branches of the tree are spread out. It ......... is simple to climb up the tree. (so)
4. Pankaj was eating raw mangoes. Pooja ....... was eating raw mangoes. (both.... and) 
5. I want to become a seed collector. I want to become a farmer. (both.... and) 
6. I want to see the mountains of New Zealand. I do not have enough money. (but) 
7. Pooja is not a farmer. Pooja is not a doctor. (neither....nor) 
8. Rohan is ambitious. He is lazy. (but)
Answer:

3. The branches of the tree are spread out so it is simple to climb up the tree. 
4. Both Pankaj and Pooja were eating raw mangoes. 
5. I want to become both a seed collector and a farmer. 
6. I want to see the mountains of New Zealand but I do not have enough money. 
7. Pooja is neither a farmer nor a doctor.
