Opposites अर्थात् विलोम शब्द ऐसे शब्दों को कहते हैं जिनके अर्थ एक-दूसरे के विपरीत होते हैं, जैसेBad (बुरा) का विलोम Good (अच्छा) है।

विलोम शब्द बनाने के कुछ नियम नियम

नियम 1. कुछ शब्दों से पहले dis लगाकर विलोम शब्द बनाये जा सकते हैं, जैसे Words In Opposites like पसंद करना dislike नापसंद करना honest ईमानदार dishonest बेईमान obey आज्ञा पालन करना disobey अवज्ञा करना allow अनुमति देना | disallow अनुमति ना देना नियम

नियम 2. कुछ शब्दों से पहले un जोड़कर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे

नियम 3. शब्द से पहले in जोड़कर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे --

नियम 4. शब्द से पहले mis जोड़कर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे--

नियम 5. शब्द से पहले ir, il या im लगाकर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे

नियम 6. शब्द के अन्त में ful के स्थान पर less लगाकर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे

नियम 7. शब्द से पहले उपसर्ग को बदलकर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे

नियम 8. शब्दों को पूरी तरह बदलकर विलोम शब्द बनाना, जैसे
