Can : Can का प्रयोग वर्तमान काल में कार्य करने में सामर्थ्यता (सक्षमता)/शक्ति आदि को प्रदर्शित करने में किया जाता है। जैसे- Rohit is an intelligent boy. He can solve this question.

Cannot/Can't : इसका प्रयोग कार्य करने में अक्षमता को प्रदर्शित करने में किया जाता है। जैसे- She is a weak girl. She cannot lift this table. Can/Cannot के और भी बहुत से प्रयोग हैं। परन्तु आपके पाठ्यक्रमानुसार इसी का प्रयोग आपको बताया गया है।
