Once upon a time there was a genie. But this particular genie was famous for spoiling things up. Whenever someone rubbed the magic lamp, he would come out and say, "What is your wish?" Then a great cloud of smoke would appear. When somebody wanted something, he would bring it covered in so much dust, that nobody wanted to even touch it. So silly were his mistakes that no one liked the magic lamp.

Last night, as I lay sleepless In the summer dark With window open to invite a breeze, Softly a firefly flew in And circled round the room Twinkling at me from floor or wall Or ceiling, never long in one place, But lighting up little spaces... A friendly presence, dispelling The settled gloom of an unhappy day. And after it had gone, I left The window open, just in case It should return.

भावार्थ-कवि/लडका कहता है कि वह पिछली रात को गरमी के मौसम में नींद न लेते हुए अर्थात् जाग्रत लेटा हुआ था। उसने हवा को आमंत्रण देने हेतु खिड़की खोल रखी थी। तभी, धीरे से एक जुगनू अन्दर उड़कर आया और कमरे में चारों ओर चक्कर लगाने लगा। कवि कहता है कि वह कभी फर्श से, तो कभी दीवार से, तो कभी छत से मेरी तरफ जगमगाहट बिखेरने लगा।

वह कदापि एक जगह पर लम्बे समय तक नहीं टिकता था। परन्तु वह थोड़े-थोड़े स्थान को ही प्रकाशित कर रहा था। कवि को उसकी मौजूदगी मित्रवत् महसूस हुई और उनके अनुसार उसने (जुगनू ने) उस अभागे दिन के स्थिर अंधकार को दूर कर दिया था। कवि (लड़का) बताता है कि उसके चले जाने के पश्चात् उसने (कवि ने) इस आशा के साथ खिड़की को खुला छोड़ दिया, कि शायद वह जुगनू फिर से वापिस आए।

Answer:
The Bad Effects of Tobacco and Cigarette Using tobacco over a long time can increase our risk of many health problems. Tobacco or gutkha chewing may cause oral cancer. One of the ingredients in tobacco is a mood altering drug called nicotine. Nicotine is extremely habit forming which is why people find smoking so difficult to quit. Cigarette smoking and tobacco chewing both increase the risk of mouth, throat, larynx and cancer. 

लम्बे समय तक तम्बाक का उपयोग करने से हमारी कई स्वास्थ्य (सम्बन्धी) समस्याओं का खतरा बढ़ सकता है। तम्बाकू या गुटखा चबाने से मुँह का कैंसर हो सकता है। तम्बाकू के अवयवों में से एक निकोटीन नामक अवयव मूड बदलने वाली दवा है। निकोटीन आदत बनाने वाली एक ऐसी दवा है जिसके कारण लोगों को धूम्रपान छोड़ना बहुत मुश्किल लगता है। सिगरेट पीने और तम्बाकू चबाने दोनों ही से मुँह, गले, स्वरयंत्र और कैंसर का खतरा बढ़ जाता है।
