मान निकालिए :
(i) 8!
(ii) 4!
हल:
(i) 8! = 8 × 7 × 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1
= 40320
(ii) 4!
= 4 × 3 × 2 × 1
= 24
3!
= 3 × 2 × 1 = 6
4! - 3!
= 24 - 6
= 18.
प्रश्न 2.
क्या 3! + 4! = 7!?
हल:
3! = 3 × 2 × 1 = 6
4! = 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 24
L.H.S. = 3! + 4! = 6 + 24 = 30
R.H.S. = 7! = 7 × 6 × 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1
= 5040
अतः L.H.S. ≠ R.H.S.
∴ ∠3 + ∠4 ≠ ∠7
प्रश्न 3.
\(\frac{8 !}{6 ! \times 2 !}\) का परिकलन कीजिए ।
हल:
प्रश्नानुसार \(\frac{8 !}{6 ! \times 2 !} = \frac{8 \times 7 \times 6 !}{6 ! \times 2 \times 1}\)
= \(\frac{8 \times 7}{2}\) = 28
प्रश्न 4.
यदि \(\frac{1}{6 !}+\frac{1}{7 !}=\frac{x}{8 !}\), तो x का मान ज्ञात कीजिए ।
हल:
प्रश्नानुसार \(\frac{1}{6 !}+\frac{1}{7 !}=\frac{x}{8 !}\)
प्रश्न 5.
\(\frac{n !}{(n-r) !}\), का मान निकालिए जब
(i) n = 6, r = 2
(ii) n = 9, r = 5.
हल:
(i) यदि n = 6 तथा r = 2 हो तो
\(\frac{n !}{(n-r) !}=\frac{6 !}{(6-2) !}=\frac{6 !}{4 !}\)
= \(\frac{6 \times 5 \times 4 !}{4 !}\) = 30
यदि n = 9 तथा r = 5 हो तो
\(\frac{n !}{(n-r) !}=\frac{9 !}{(9-5) !}=\frac{9 !}{4 !}\)
= \(\frac{9 \times 8 \times 7 \times 6 \times 5 \times 4 !}{4 !}\)
= 9 × 8 × 7 × 6 × 5
= 15120
