RBSE Class 8 English Paragraph Writing

1. Meaning (अर्थ)-एक पैराग्राफ बढ़िया तालमेल वाले वाक्यों का एक समूह होता है। इन वाक्यों की सहायता से एक topic को develop (विकसित) किया जाता है। 

2. Structure (संरचना)-Paragraph Writing में केवल एक ही पैराग्राफ लिखना है। दो या अधिक Paragraphs लिखना गलत है। इसके तीन भाग हैं उचित प्रस्तुतिकरण (appropriate introduction), विकास (development) तथा
विश्वसनीय निष्कर्ष (convincing conclusion)। 

3. How to write a Paragraph? (पैराग्राफ कैसे लिखें?)

• सर्वप्रथम, पेज के centre (बीच) में Paragraph का topic लिखें। 
• Topic में Preposition वाले शब्दों को छोड़कर अन्य सभी शब्दों के प्रथम अक्षर को Capital (बड़ा) लिखें। 
• फिर एक लाइन का Gap रखकर Margin (हाशिए) के पास से Paragraph Writing आरम्भ करें। आरम्भ के कुछ वाक्य topic के Introduction के लिखें। बीच के कुछ वाक्य topic के development के लिए लिखें। इसमें facts (तथ्य), datas (ऑकड़े), comparison and contrast (तुलनाएँ), logics (तर्क) आदि दें। अन्त के कुछ वाक्य निष्कर्ष, चेतावनी, सुझाव आदि के दें। Paragraph एक माला के जैसे होता है, जिसमें अनेक फूल मिलकर एक माला बनाते हैं। 
• वाक्य छोटे बनाएँ। वाक्य correct बनाएँ। शब्दों की spelling का ध्यान रखें। 
• शब्दों व लाइनों के बीच उचित Gap रखें।
• सुन्दर लिखाई में लिखें। 

4. परीक्षा में Paragraph का प्रश्न सम्बन्धित विषय पर सहायता के लिए कुछ शब्द देकर अथवा कुछ प्रश्न देकर उनके उत्तरों की सहायता से पूछा जा सकता है। Paragraph लिखते समय उन शब्दों का प्रयोग अवश्य करना चाहिए। प्रश्न दिये होने पर उनके उत्तर देते हुए Paragraph लिखना चाहिए। 

Question 1. 
Your school organized an 'Educa|tional Tour' to Agra last week. You were also the part of it. Write a short paragraph of about ten sentences telling what you saw and did there. You may use the following words in the pagrapgrah :
reached by bus, Taj Mahal, bought tickets, beautiful building, white marble, Shahjahan, memory of Mumtajmahal, breakfast, returned, happy.

Educational Tour 

Our school organized an 'Educational Tour to Agra last week. I was also the part of it. We reached there by bus. We bought tickets. I saw the Taj Mahal. It is a beautiful building. It is made of white marble. Shahjahan got it built in the memory of Mumtajmahal.

After: visiting the Tajmahal, we had breakfast. I thought about the Taj Mahal. Actually it is a grave of Mumtaj-mahal. There are gardens too, Cleanliness was seen everywhere. A number of domestic and foreign tourists were there. We returned in the evening. was happy.

शैक्षिक भ्रमण

हमारे विद्यालय ने गत सप्ताह आगरा के लिए शैक्षिक भ्रमण का आयोजन किया। मैं भी इसका एक भाग था। हम वहाँ बस से पहुँचे। हमने टिकिट खरीदा। मैंने ताजमहल देखा। यह एक सुन्दर भवन है। यह सफेद संगमरमर का बना है। शाहजहाँ ने इसे ममताजमहल की याद में बनवाया था। ताजमहल की सैर करने के पश्चात् फिर हमने नाश्ता लिया। मैंने ताजमहल के बारे में सोचा। वास्तव में तो यह मुमताजमहल की कब्र है। यहाँ बगीचे भी हैं। हर जगह स्वच्छता थी। यहाँ बहुत से देशी व विदेशी पर्यटक थे। शाम को हम लौट आये। मैं प्रसन्न था।

Question 2. 
Last Sunday you went to visit a fair with your friends. Write a short paragraph of about ten sentences telling what you saw and did there at the fair site. You may use the following words in the paragraph : 
Dussehra fair, reached by bus, many shops, sweet shops, selling ladoos, jalebies, gulab jamuns, etc.; namkeen shops selling potato chips, samosas, etc., utensil shops, cloth shops, toy shops; great noise, a large number of people, merry-go-rounds, swings, circus, magic. shows, people looked cheerful, enjoyable sight, returned home in the evening.

A Visit to a Fair :

Last Sunday I went to visit the Dussehra Fair of our city with my friends. We reached the fair site by bus. There were many shops. Sweet shops had ladoos, jalebies, gulabjamuns, etc.; Namkeen shops had potato chips, samosas, etc.

There were utensil shops, cloth shops, toy shops etc. There were a large number of people. There was a great noise. People were enjoying with merry-gorounds, swings, circus, magic shows, etc. People looked cheerful. There were enjoyable sights. We returned home in the evening.

एक मेले का भ्रमण

गत रविवार मैं अपने मित्रों के साथ अपने शहर का दशहरा मेला देखने गया। हम बस द्वारा मेला स्थल पर पहुंचे। वहाँ अनेक दुकानें थीं। मिठाई की दुकान पर लड्डू, जलेबी, गुलाब जामुन आदि थे। नमकीन की दुकान पर आलू, |चिप्स, समोसा आदि थे। वहाँ बर्तनों की दुकान, कपड़ों की दुकान, खिलौनों की दुकान आदि थीं। वहाँ भारी भीड़ थी। वहाँ अत्यधिक शोर था। लोग झूलों, सर्कस, जादू-प्रदर्शन आदि का आनन्द ले रहे थे। लोग खुश दिखाई दे रहे थे। वहाँ आनन्ददायक दृश्य थे। हम शाम को घर लौट आये।

Write a short paragraph on "Clean India Mission'. You may use the following words/information : Gandhi Jayanti, Panchayat Week, India made clean, dirt free areas, devote two hours, community centres for cleanliness, medical treatment, annual grant, constructing toilets, rural community.

Clean India Mission :

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji, commenced the 'Clean India Mission on Gandhi Jayanti in 2014. From 26 September to 2 October, this mission was undertaken as "Panchayat Week'. Under this mission India is to be made clean and dirt free. Every citizen must devote two hours a week to community cleanliness.

According to the W.H.O. report 2014, every Indian has to expend Rs. 6500 annually for his/her medical treatment. The Modi government is to construct 11.11 crore toilets across the country. Every Village Panchayat is to be given annual grant of Rs. 20 lac for this purpose.

स्वच्छ भारत मिशन/अभियान

प्रधानमंत्री, श्री नरेन्द्र मोदीजी, ने स्वच्छ भारत अभियान की । शुरुआत 2014 में गाँधी जयन्ती से की थी। 26 सितम्बर से 2 अक्टूबर तक इस अभियान को 'पंचायत सप्ताह' के रूप में चलाया गया। इस अभियान के तहत भारत को स्वच्छ तथा गंदगी मुक्त बनाना है।  प्रत्येक नागरिक को सप्ताह में दो घंटे सामुदायिक स्वच्छता के लिए अवश्य देने चाहिए।

विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन की 2014 की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, प्रत्येक भारतीय को अपने इलाज पर रुपये 6500/- सालाना खर्च करने पड़ते हैं। मोदी सरकार भारत भर में 11.11 करोड़ शौचालयों का निर्माण करने वाली है। प्रत्येक ग्राम पंचायत को इस उद्देश्य के लिए 20 लाख रुपए सालाना अनुदान दिया जाना है।

Write a short paragraph on 'An Annual Function' in about 100 words. You may take help of the following questions : 
(i) When was it held last year? 
(ii) Who was the chief guest?
(iii) Which cultural programmes were presented? 
(iv) What prize did you get?

An Annual Function
An Annual Function was held in my school last year on 21 February. It was held at the school auditorium. The district collector was the Chief Guest. The function began with 'Saraswati Vandana'. Then, the Principal welcomed the Chief Guest and the other guests with garlands.

Next, Ghoomer dance was presented by the girl students. The physical movements of the dancers attracted everyone. Afterward, Maa Tujhe Salaam, an action patriotic group song was displayed. The actions of the singers charmed the viewers.

Further, a drama on the benefits of the modern technology was staged. Viewers were excited to watch it. Later, the prizes were given away to the students. I got a trophy for action song. The Principal thanked all.

वार्षिक उत्सव

मेरे विद्यालय में गत वर्ष 21 फरवरी को वार्षिक उत्सव का |आयोजन किया गया। यह विद्यालय के ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित किया गया। जिले के कॅलेक्टर, मुख्य अतिथि थे। उत्सव का आरम्भ सरस्वती वंदना से हुआ। फिर, प्रधानाचार्यजी ने मुख्य अतिथि तथा अन्य अतिथियों का माला पहनाकर स्वागत किया। आगे, छात्रा विद्यार्थियों द्वारा घूमर नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया गया। नर्तकियों के शारीरिक घुमाव ने प्रत्येक को आकर्षित किया।

फिर, 'माँ तुझे सलाम' एक अभिनय वाला राष्ट्रभक्तिपूर्ण समूह गान प्रस्तुत किया गया। गायकों की भाव-भंगिमाओं ने दर्शकों को आकर्षित किया। आगे, आधुनिक तकनीक के लाभों पर आधारित एक नाटक मंचित किया गया। दर्शक, इसे देखकर उद्वेलित हो गए। बाद में, इनाम वितरित किए गए। मैंने अभिनय गीत के लिए ट्रॉफी जीती। प्रधानाचार्यजी ने सभी को धन्यवाद दिया।

A Camp 
Our school organised a camp last week. The Principal appointed a camp-incharge. The camp incharge made all the preparations. He decided the place for the camp after consultation with concerned people. The place was near the lake forest. Campers reached there by bus.

After reaching there, the site was cleaned properly. Then, the tent was pitched as per need. The campers gave their contribution in cooking food. The first-aid box was also kept ready. In the evening the camp-fire was organised. The songs were sung. The dances were performed. It was a very entertaining camp.

एक शिविर

हमारे विद्यालय ने गत सप्ताह एक शिविर का आयोजन किया। प्रधानाचार्य ने शिविर प्रभारी नियुक्त कर दिया। शिविर प्रभारी ने सभी तैयारियाँ कीं। सम्बन्धित लोगों से चर्चा के उपरान्त उन्होंने शिविर के स्थल को निश्चित कर लिया। यह स्थान झील वाले जंगल/वन के समीप था।

शिविर प्रभागी बस द्वारा वहाँ पहुँचे। वहाँ पहुँचने के उपरान्त, उस स्थल को साफ किया गया। फिर, आवश्यकतानुसार तम्बू गाड़े गए। शिविर प्रभागियों ने भोजन पकाने में अपना योगदान दिया। फस्ट-ऐड बॉक्स को भी तैयार रखा गया। सायंकाल, कैम्प-फायर आयोजित किया गया। गाने गाये गए। नृत्य किया गया। यह एक आनन्ददायक शिविर था।

Rain Water Harvesting 
Rain water harvesting is the crying need of the day. It is said that if the Third World War is to be fought, it will be fought for water. The huge quantity of the rain water goes down the drain every year. Every home, every village, every city should have rain water harvesting system.

It saves us from floods. It saves bays, seas and oceans from overflowing. It maintains the ground water level. In desert area, it makes available the precious water round the year. It can be used for irrigation, too. Thus, the harvesting of the rain water is the immediate need of the hour.

वर्षा जल एकत्रीकरण

वर्षा जल एकत्रीकरण आज बेहद आवश्यक है। यह कहा | जाता है कि यदि तृतीय विश्व युद्ध होता है तो यह जल के लिए लड़ा जाएगा। प्रत्येक वर्ष वर्षा जल की विशाल मात्रा नालों में बह जाती है। प्रत्येक घर, प्रत्येक गाँव व प्रत्येक शहर में वर्षा जल एकत्रीकरण प्रणाली होनी चाहिए। यह हमें बाढ़ से बचाता है।

यह खाड़ियों, सागरों व महासागरों को ओवरफ्लो होने से बचाता है। यह भूमिगत जल स्तर को बनाए रखता है। मरुस्थलों में तो यह वर्षभर, कीमती जल उपलब्ध कराता है। यह |सिंचाई के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जा सकता है। इस प्रकार वर्षा के जल का एकत्रीकरण तो आज के समय की तत्काल आवश्यकता है।

Many festivals are celebrated in India. Deepawali is a very important festival of the Hindus. It is a festival of lights. It falls in the month of 'Kartik'. On this day Shri Ramchandra returned Ayodhya after killing Ravana. So we celebrate it. It is a victory of light over darkness.

People clean and whitewash their houses and shops. They decorate them. Men and women, boys and girls, old and young, everyone is happy. People purchase sweets, toys, crackers and many other things. Ladies prepare special food. All the members of the family eat together. At night people worship Lakshmi the goddess of wealth.

दीपावली

भारत में बहुत 'से त्यौहार मनाये जाते हैं। दीपावली हिन्दुओं का बहुत महत्त्वपूर्ण त्यौहार है। यह प्रकाश का त्यौहार है। यह कार्तिक के महीने में आता है। श्री रामचन्द्र रावण को मारने के बाद इस दिन अयोध्या लौटे थे। इसलिए हम इसे मनाते हैं। यह प्रकाश की अंधेरे पर विजय है (अर्थात् अज्ञान पर ज्ञान की विजय है)।

लोग अपने मकानों व दुकानों को साफ करते हैं और सफेदी करते हैं। वे उन्हें सजाते हैं। पुरुष व स्त्रियाँ, लड़के व लड़कियाँ, वृद्ध व युवा सभी प्रसन्न होते हैं। लोग मिठाइयाँ, खिलौने, पटाखे व अन्य अनेक चीजें खरीदते हैं। स्त्रियाँ विशेष भोजन पकाती हैं। परिवार के सभी सदस्य साथ-साथ भोजन करते हैं। रात्रि को लोग लक्ष्मी-जो धन की देवी है की पूजा करते हैं।

Mahatma Gandhi was a great leader of India. We call him 'The Father of the Nation' in honour. He was born on 2 October, 1869 at Porbander in Gujarat. His father was a Diwan. His mother was a religious lady. He was sent to school at the age of seven. He went to England to study law. He went to South Africa also. At that time India was a slave of the English.

He joined Indian National Congress. He tried hard to make India free. He started many movements. He was sent to jail many times. On 15 August, 1947 India | got freedom. On 30 January, 1948 he was shot dead by Nathuram Godsey. The whole country was sad (shocked). 

एक महान् राष्ट्रीय नेता
अथवा
महात्मा गांधी 

महात्मा गांधी भारत के एक महान् नेता थे। हम उन्हें सम्मान से 'राष्ट्र-पिता' कहते हैं। उनका जन्म 2 अक्टूबर, 1869 को गुजरात के पोरबंदर में हुआ था। उनके पिता (राज्य के) दीवान थे। उनकी माता एक धार्मिक स्त्री थीं। सात वर्ष की आयु में उन्हें स्कूल भेजा गया। वह कानून के अध्ययन के लिए इंग्लैंड गये। वह दक्षिणी-अफ्रीका भी गये। उस समय भारत अंग्रेजों का गुलाम था। वे इंडियन नेशनल कांग्रेस में शामिल हुए।  

उन्होंने भारत को स्वतंत्र कराने का अथक प्रयास किया। उन्होंने अनेक आन्दोलन चलाए। उन्हें अनेक बार जेल भेजा गया। 15 अगस्त, 1947 को भारत को स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त हुई। 30 जनवरी, 1948 को नाथूराम गोडसे ने गोली मारकर उनकी हत्या कर दी। सम्पूर्ण देश दु:खी हुआ (समस्त देश को गहरा आघात लगा)।

Once I was going to my uncle's house. I saw that a car was coming fast. The road was wet because of rains. A girl was crossing the road. There was a red traffic light. The car driver ignored it. The car crossed it. The girl was hurt. Many people gathered there. The girl was rushed to hospital.

The doctors examined her carefully. Her hand was broken. Someone informed the parents of the girl. They came to the hospital to see their daughter. They reported the matter to the police. Six policemen came there. The girl told them the number of the car. The car driver was arrested. One should never cross the road when the traffic signal is red.

एक दुर्घटना 

एक बार मैं अपने चाचा के घर जा रहा था। मैंने देखा कि एक कार तेजी से आ रही थी। वर्षा के कारण सड़क गीली थी। एक लडकी सड़क पार कर रही थी। वहाँ यातायात की लाल बत्ती थी। कार के चालक ने इसकी उपेक्षा की। कार ने इसको पार कर दिया। लड़की के चोट लग गई। अनेक व्यक्ति वहाँ एकत्रित हो गये। लड़की को अस्पताल ले जाया गया।

डॉक्टरों ने सावधानी से उसका परीक्षण किया। उसका हाथ टूट गया था। किसी ने लड़की के माता-पिता को सूचित किया। वे अपनी पुत्री को देखने अस्पताल आये। उन्होंने मामले की रिपोर्ट पुलिस में की। छः सिपाही वहाँ आये। लडकी ने उन्हें कार का नम्बर बतलाया। कार-चालक को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। जब यातायात का सिग्नल लाल हो तो सड़क कभी पार नहीं करनी चाहिए।

Write a short paragraph in about 100 words on 'The Festival of Colours' (Holi). You may use the following words: Festival, spring season, dung-cakes, crossroads, Prahlad, sprinkle, embrace, quarrels.

There are many festivals. Holi is an important festival of the Hindus. It is also called The Festival of Colours'. It comes at the end of the spring season. In the evening, wood and cowdung cakes are collected at some crossroads. They are burnt. It is said the Prahlad was saved on this day. It is a festival of joy and colour.

Boys and girls, men and women, old and young everyone looks happy. They sprinkle coloured water on each other. They smear coloured-powder on the faces of each other. They embrace each other. But these days, some bad events happen on this day. Some people throw dirty water. They abuse. So there are some quarrels. It is bad.

रंगों का त्यौहार अथवा होली

अनेक त्यौहार होते हैं। होली हिन्दुओं का प्रमुख त्यौहार है। इसे 'रंगों का त्यौहार' भी कहते हैं। यह त्यौहार बसंत-ऋतु के अंत में आता है। शाम को लकड़ियाँ व गोबर की थेषड़ियाँ (उपले) रास्ते में चौराहों पर एकत्रित |किये जाते हैं। उनको जलाया जाता है। कहा जाता है कि इस दिन प्रह्लाद को बचाया गया था।

यह खुशी व रंगों का त्यौहार है। लड़के व लड़कियाँ, आदमी व औरतें, बूढ़े व युवा प्रत्येक प्रसन्न दिखाई देता है। वे एक-दूसरे पर रंगीन पानी छिड़कते हैं। वे एक-दूसरों के चेहरों पर रंगीन गुलाल पोतते हैं। वे एक-दूसरे के गले मिलते हैं। किन्तु आजकल इस दिन कुछ बुरी घटनाएँ घटित होती हैं। कुछ लोग गंदा पानी फेंकते हैं। वे गालियाँ देते हैं। इसलिए कुछ झगड़े हो जाते हैं। यह बुरी बात है।

In about 100 words, write a short paragraph on 'My Village'. You may use the following words: small, people, farmers, shop-keepers, service, wells, primary school, temple, hospital, post-office.

Life in An Indian Village 
I live in a small village. About two thousand people live in it. Most of the people are farmers. They work hard from morning till evening. They are very simple. Women also work hard. They bring water from the wells. They cook food. They bring fire-wood from  the forest.

There are two shop-keepers. They keep cheap things. They sell everything. There is a temple outside the village. Many people go there in the morning and in the evening. There is a primary school. Some boys go there. There is a post-office. There is no hospital. The people are poor but happy (satisfied).

मेरा गाँव 
मैं एक छोटे गाँव में रहता हूँ। लगभग दो हजार लोग इसमें रहते हैं। ज्यादातर लोग किसान हैं। वे सुबह से शाम तक कड़ी मेहनत करते हैं। वे बहुत सीधे हैं। औरतें भी कड़ी मेहनत करती हैं। वे कुएँ से पानी लाती हैं। वे भोजन पकाती हैं। वे जंगल से जलाने की लकड़ियाँ लाती हैं। वहाँ दो दुकानदार हैं। वे सस्ती चीजें रखते हैं। वे सारी चीजें बेचते हैं। गाँव के बाहर एक मन्दिर है। बहुत से लोग वहाँ सुबहशाम जाते हैं। वहाँ एक प्राथमिक स्कूल है। कुछ लड़के वहाँ । जाते हैं। वहाँ एक पोस्ट आफिस है। वहाँ अस्पताल नहीं है। लोग गरीब किन्तु खुश (सन्तुष्ट) हैं।

स्कूल में मेरा प्रथम दिवस 

मेरा स्कूल 1 जुलाई को खुला। मैं स्कूल गया। विद्यार्थी समूहों में खड़े हुए थे। वे एक-दूसरे से बातें कर रहे थे। घंटी बजी। हम अपनी कक्षाओं में गये। एक अध्यापक आये। उन्होंने रजिस्टर में हमारे नाम लिखे। उन्होंने हमें किताबों के नाम बताए। चालीस मिनट के बाद घंटी बजी। फिर एक अध्यापक आये। उन्होंने हमें किताबों के नाम बतलाए। चौथे कालांश के बाद मध्यावकाश (आधी छुट्टी) हुआ। मध्यावकाश के बाद पढ़ाई फिर आरम्भ हुई। सातवें कालांश के बाद एक लम्बी घंटी बजी। स्कूल में छुट्टी हो गई। मैं घर आ गया। मैं खुश था।

A zoo is a place where many kinds of birds and animals are kept. The zoo is in the Public Park. I went there when I was a student of VII class. I went there with the class-teacher and other class fellows. We stayed there for about four hours. I saw there lions, tigers, monkeys, wolves, deer and other animals. They were living in cages.

Lions and tigers were eating meat. Some animals were eating grass, vegetables and fruits. I saw that some monkeys were jumping here and there. I threw some groundnuts in the cage. All the four monkeys ran to them. They quarrelled to take them. I liked monkeys and lions very much We should not tease them. We should be kind to animals.

जन्तुआलय में जाना

जन्तुआलय वह स्थान है जहाँ विभिन्न प्रकार के पक्षी एवं पशु रखे जाते हैं। जन्तुआलय पब्लिक-पार्क में है। जब मैं कक्षा सात का विद्यार्थी था, तब मैं वहाँ गया। मैं वहाँ कक्षा-अध्यापक तथा अन्य सहपाठियों के साथ गया। हम वहाँ 4 घण्टे रुके। मैंने वहाँ शेर, बाघ, बन्दर, भेड़िये, हिरण तथा अन्य पशु देखे।

वे पिंजरों में रह रहे थे। शेर व बाघ मांस खा रहे थे। कुछ पशु घास, सब्जियाँ और फल खा रहे थे। मैंने देखा कि कुछ बन्दर इधर-उधर कूद रहे थे। मैंने कुछ मूंगफलियाँ पिंजरे में फेंकी। चारों बन्दर उनकी तरफ दौड़े। उनको लेने के लिए वे झगड़े। मुझे बन्दर और शेर बहुत अधिक पसन्द आये। हमें उन्हें सताना नहीं चाहिये। हमें पशुओं के प्रति दयालु होना चाहिए।

खेल खेलना मनुष्य के शरीर को तन्दुरुस्त रखता है। मैं भी खेल खेलता हूँ। लेकिन मैं किसी अन्य खेल की. अपेक्षा वॉलीबॉल खेलना अधिक पसन्द करता हूँ। यह खेल न तो बहुत जोखिमभरा है और न ही बहुत खर्चीला है। इससे शरीर को काफी गति तथा व्यायाम मिलता है। यह शरीर के प्रत्येक हिस्से को सक्रिय रखता है।

यह मुझको शारीरिक तथा मानसिक दोनों ही प्रकार से स्वस्थ | रखता है। अन्य खेलों की तरह यह खेल भी भ्रातृत्व और एकत्व की भावना को उत्पन्न तथा विकसित करता है। यह प्रत्येक पक्ष में छ:-छ: खिलाड़ियों द्वारा खेला जाता है। यह खेल मेरी रुचि को खेलों की तरफ बनाये रखता है। यह एक बहुत ही सामान्य-सा खेल है। इसलिए यह | खेल गाँवों के स्कूलों में लोकप्रिय होता जा रहा है। यह | मेरा प्रिय खेल है, मेरी रुचि का खेल है।

Forests give fodder for animals. Forests attract clouds which cause rain. Trees prevent soil erosion also. Trees give out oxygen to us. They purify air. So we should grow more and more trees and protect them.

वृक्षों का महत्त्व 

वृक्ष भगवान् का मनुष्य के लिए बहुमूल्य उपहार है वृक्ष मनुष्यों एवं पशुओं को जीवन देते हैं। हम वनों से अनेक पदार्थ प्राप्त करते हैं। हम लकड़ी प्राप्त करते हैं। यह फर्नीचर तथा अन्य वस्तुओं के बनाने में काम आती है। यह जलाने के लिए ईंधन प्रदान करता है। हम फल तथा औषधियाँ भी प्राप्त करते हैं। अनेक प्रकार के पशु एवं पक्षी वनों में रहते हैं वन, पशुओं के लिए चारा प्रदान करते हैं। वन बादलों को आकर्षित करते हैं जिससे वर्षा होती है। वृक्ष मृदा अपरदन को भी रोकते हैं। वृक्ष हमें ऑक्सीजन

देते हैं। वे हवा को शुद्ध करते हैं वे हमारी वायु-प्रदूषण की समस्या को हल करने में सहायता करते हैं। वनों पर अनेक उद्योग निर्भर करते हैं। कागज उद्योग, दियासलाई उद्योग, रबर उद्योग वृक्षों पर निर्भर हैं। वे लोगों को रोजगार प्रदान करते हैं। अत: हमें अधिकाधिक वृक्ष उगाने चाहिए तथा उनकी रक्षा करनी चाहिए।
