परिभाषा -
एक adverb (क्रियाविशेषण) वह शब्द होता है जो verb या adjective या दूसरे adverb के बारे में अतिरिक्त सूचना देता है।
क्रियाविशेषण के प्रकार (Kinds of Adverb)
1. Adverb of Manner (व्यावहारिक क्रियाविशेषण) -- ये adverbs स्पष्ट करती हैं कि कार्य "कैसे" या "किस तरीके से" (How or In what manner) हो रहा है/था/होगा, जैसे
She smiles (verb) sweetly (adv)
2. Adverb of Place (स्थानवाचक क्रियाविशेषण)ये adverbs बताती हैं कि कार्य "कहाँ" (Where) हो रहा है,जैसे
My mother is working (verb) there (adv).
3. Adverb of Time (समयवाचक क्रियाविशेषण)ये adverbs बताती हैं कि कार्य "कब" (When) हो रहा है, जैसे
She wakes up (verb) early (adv).
4. Adverb of Frequency/Number (आवृत्तिवाचक/ संख्यावाचक क्रियाविशेषण) - ये adverbs बताती हैं कि कार्य "कितनी बार" (How often) हो रहा है, जैसे
She always (adv.) attends school. (verb)
5. Adverb of Degree/Quantity (मात्रावाचक क्रियाविशेषण) ये adverbs बताती हैं कि कार्य "कितना" (How much/In what degree) हुआ है, जैसे|
She is rathe (adv.) busy (adj.)
6. Adverb of Reason (कारणवाचक क्रियाविशेषण) - ये hence, therefore आदि से कारण बताती हैं, जैसे
She is hence (adv.) unable (adj.) to come to school.
7. Adverb of Affirmation and Negation (हाँकारात्मक व नकारात्मक क्रियाविशेषण) - ये adverbs |कार्य के होने का समर्थन करती हैं या इन्कार करती हैं, जैसे
She certainly (adv.) attended (adv.) the class.
8. Interrogative Adverbs (प्रश्नवाचक क्रियाविशेषण)--ये adverbs (How, How many/How often, How far/How much, Where/Whence,
When/How long, Why) तरीके (manner), स्थान (place), समय (time) व कारण (reason) आदि के बारे में प्रश्न पूछती हैं । जैसे
(i) How adv.are you?
(ii) Where (adv.) do you play daily?
9. Relative Adverbs (सम्बन्धवाचक क्रियाविशेषण)|
ये adverbs (where, when, why) वाक्य के दो भागों (Clauses) को जोड़ती हैं व साथ ही साथ इस adverb के तुरन्त पहले प्रयुक्त antecedent (पूर्वपद) से सम्बन्धित करती हैं,जैसे--
