Question 1.
Which is greater? Give reason for your answer.
(i) 1.008 or 1.800
Answer:
The whole parts are equal, and comparing the tenths parts, we have 0 < 8. 
∴ 1.800 > 1.008

(ii) 3.3 or 3.300
Answer:
3.3 or 3.300    
By converting 3.3 into like decimal, we have 3.3 = 3.300
The whole parts and the tenths parts are both equal.
∴ 3.3 = 3.300

(iii) 1.5 or 1.50
Answer:
1.5 or 1.50
By converting 1.5 into like decimal, we have
1.5    = 1.50
The whole parts and the digits in the tenths place are equal.
