Science:
Systematic and well arranged study and knowledge of nature is Science.
Physics:
Study of fundamental laws of nature and their representation in various natural events ii called Physics.
Scientific method for the explanation of phenomena:
The mainly four steps are given:
- Systematic observation
- Formation of hypothesis
- Testing of hypothesis
- Final theory.
Scope of Physics:
To understand the scope of Physics it is divided in two fundamental parts.
These parts and their sub-subjects are as under:
(a) Classical Mechanics: There are following sub-subjects of this part:
- Optics
- Thermodynamics
- Mechanics
- Electro-dynamics
- Oscillations and waves.
(b) Microscope effect of Physics: There are following sub-subjects of this part:
- Nuclear Physics
- Particle Physics
- Quantum Physics.
Fundamental forces in nature:
All the events of nature can be understood with the help of four forces which are called fundamental forces. These four forces are:
- Gravitational force
- Electro-magnetic force,
- Strong nuclear force
- Weak nuclear force.
Conservation laws: Conservation law is the law which shows that which quantity remains conserved under which condition. Some conservation laws are as under.
- Conservation of energy
- Conservation of charge
- Conservation of linear momentum
- Conservation of angular momentum
- Conservation of mass-energy
→ Energy: The capacity of doing work is called energy.
→ Nuclear force: The force acting between the nucleons (i.e. protons and neutrons) inside the nucleus is called nuclear force.
