Based On Verbal Stimulus 

Verbal Stimulus पर आधारित Short writing Task को करते समय ध्यान रखने योग्य बिन्दु 
1. दिए गए Verbal Stimulus का ध्यानपूर्वक अध्ययन करें। 
2. शीर्षक व विषयवस्तु के विषय में स्पष्टता Verbal stimulus को समझकर करें। शीर्षक, प्रश्न में ही होता है, उसे समझकर ढूँढें व लिखें। 
3. Verbal Stimulus की सूचना के अनुसार आवश्यक tense का प्रयोग करें। जिस tense में Verbal Stimulus हो उस ही tense में paragraph लिखें। 
4. शीर्षक को पृष्ठ के बीचों-बीच लिखें। 
5. संक्षिप्त व अच्छे वाक्य बनाएँ। 
6. अपने तर्कों या बिन्दुओं के समर्थन में तथ्य, आँकड़े, प्रमाण आदि दें। 
7. व्याकरणीय (grammatical) त्रुटियों से बचें। 
8. चिह्नों का उचित प्रयोग करें। 
9. शब्द-सीमा का ध्यान रखें। 
10. Task को पुनः पढ़ें ताकि किसी भी त्रुटि को सुधारा जा सके। 

Verbal Stimulus पर आधारित Short Writing Task बिल्कुल उसी तरह ही लिखे जाते हैं जिस तरह से Paragraph लिखे जाते हैं। इसे लिखते समय दिये गये Verbal Stimulus को ध्यान में रखना अत्यावश्यक है। यहाँ पर Verbal Stimulus पर आधारित उपयोगी Short Writing Task दिये जा रहे हैं। जिनके अध्ययन से आप इन्हें लिखना समझ सकेंगे तथा अन्य topics पर भी सफलतापूर्वक लिख सकेंगे। 

Question 1. 
Attempt a short writing task in about 60 words on 'COVID-19'.

COVID-19

COVID-19 is a Communicable Virus Disease which started in 2019 at Wuhan in China. The virus is artificial one. It was made from bats. It has various strains. It is unseen and unsmelled. It is deadly. Its symptoms are tastelessness, fever, badthroat, problem in respiration etc. It damages lungs badly and ultimately the patient dies. Lakhs of people across the world have died. For protection masking, physical distancing and sanitizing are needed. 

कोविड-19

कोविड-19 एक संक्रामक वायरस है जो चीन के वुहान से आरम्भ हुआ था। यह एक कृत्रिम वायरस है। इसे चमगादड़ों से बनाया गया था। इसके अनेक रूप हैं। यह दृश्यविहीन व गंधहीन है। यह घातक है। इसके लक्षण स्वादहीनता, ज्वर, गलरोध, श्वसन कठिनता आदि हैं। यह फेफड़ों को बुरी तरह से नुकसान पहुँचाता हैं और आखिरकार मरीज की मृत्यु हो जाती है। संसारभर में लाखों लोग मारे जा चुके हैं । सुरक्षा के लिए मास्क, शारीरिक दूरी तथा सैनिटाइजर का उपयोग जरूरी है।

Write a paragraph in about 60 words on 'A local fair'.

A Local Fair

A local fair, Sheetla Mata Fair is a famous tribal fair held in village, Seel-Ki Doongri, near Chaksu in Jaipur district. This fair is held in Chaitra (March-April). Sheetla Mata is considered a deity of ghosts, sores, pustules and epidemic diseases. This fair is held every year. The fair is held to please the goddess so that she doesn't bring scourges and pandemics to people. Markets are arranged. People enjoy it. 

स्थानीय मेला

जयपुर जिले में चाकसू के निकट शील की डूंगरी गाँव में एक लोकप्रिय जनजातीय मेले का आयोजन होता है। यह मेला चैत्र में लगता है (मार्च-अप्रैल)। शीतला माता को प्रेतात्मा, शारीरिक फोड़े फुन्सी, दाद और महामारी वाली बीमारियों की देवी माना जाता है। यह मेला प्रतिवर्ष लगता है। यह मेला देवी को प्रसन्न करने के लिये लगता है जिससे कि वह लोगों को महाकष्टों और महामारियों से बचाए रखे। बाजार लगते हैं। लोग इस मेले का आनन्द लेते हैं।

The SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) camp was held during the winter break in our school. It is based on the educational ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. The first day, we did community cleanliness outside our school. The second day, we planted trees in the surrounding localities. The third day, we did art, craft and needle work. The fourth day, we did cooking and baking. day we undertook music and dance activities. Thus, it was educational and entertaining.

SUPW (समाज उपयोगी उत्पादन कार्य) शिविर हमारे विद्यालय में शीतावकाश के दौरान आयोजित किया गया। यह महात्मा गाँधी के शैक्षिक विचारों पर आधारित है। पहले दिन हमने विद्यालय के बाहर सामुदायिक स्वच्छत न हमने आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में पौधारोपण का कार्य किया। तीसरे दिन हमने कला, क्राफ्ट तथा सुई से बनने वाली चीजों का कार्य किया। चौथे दिन हमने कुकिंग (पाककला) तथा बेकिंग (सिकाई) से सम्बन्धित कार्य किया। अन्तिम दिन हमने संगीत व नृत्य का कार्य किया। इस प्रकार यह शैक्षिक व मनोरंजक था।

Last week I went to the zoo at Ramnivas Garden in Jaipur with my parents. I saw a number of animals and birds there. In animal section I saw white lions, tawny lions, tigers, bears white and black, elephants, zebra, jackals, hyenas, monkeys, deer, crocodiles etc. In the bird section I saw white peacocks and white pigeons, colourful parrots and sparrows, cranes, ostriches etc. I enjoyed by feeding them grains and by watching their gleeful activities. 

एक चिड़ियाघर का भ्रमण

पिछले सप्ताह मैं अपने माता-पिता के साथ जयपुर के रामनिवास बाग स्थित चिड़ियाघर गया। मैंने वहाँ बहुत से जानवर व पक्षी देखे। जानवर विभाग में मैंने सफेद शेर, भूरा-पीला शेर, बाघ, सफेद व काले भालू, हाथी, जेब्रा, गीदड़, लकड़बग्घे, बन्दर, हिरण, मगरमच्छ आदि देखे। पक्षी विभाग में मैंने सफेद मोर व सफेद कबूतर, रंग-बिरंगे तोते व चिड़ियाँ, सारस, शुतुरमुर्ग आदि देखे। मैंने उन्हें अनाज के दाने खिलाकर व उनकी प्रसन्नतादायक गतिविधियों को देखकर आनन्द लिया।

We are benefitted by them. We have balance of physical and mental growth. We become calm, diligent, patient, well-behaved, helpful and merciful.

Once my mother was not at home. Suddenly some guests came to my house. I welcomed them and requested them to sit in the Drawing Room. Then I went into the kitchen and brought drinking water. They had it and then asked about my mother. I replied she had gone to market and would return in an hour. Then I brought some refreshment. They had it and then went away giving me blessings. Thus I welcomed and entertained the guests.
 
मैंने मेहमानों का स्वागत-सत्कार कैसे किया

एक बार मेरी माँ घर पर नहीं थी। अचानक कुछ मेहमान मेरे घर पर आ गए। मैंने उनका स्वागत किया और उनसे ड्राइंग रूम में बैठने का आग्रह किया। फिर मैं रसोई में गया और पीने का पानी लाया। उन्होंने इसे पीया और फिर मेरी माँ के बारे में पूछा। मैंने उत्तर दिया कि वह बाजार गई हुई हैं तथा एक घंटे में लौटेंगी। फिर मैं कुछ नाश्ता लाया। उन्होंने इसे लिया और फिर मुझे आशीर्वाद देते हुए चले गए। इस प्रकार मैंने मेहमानों का स्वागत-सत्कार किया।

During the rainy season grass and bushes grew up in my school ground. To check the spread of any epidemic, the Principal and the staff of my school decided to clean the campus of my school. I also helped in this noble work. I took the spade and cut the bushes. The next day, I took the motor mower and mowed the grass. Then, I sprinkled the pesticide in the grass. I burnt the dry grass and weeds. The Principal praised me.

 
स्कूल कैम्पस की सफाई

वर्षा ऋतु के दौरान मेरे विद्यालय के कैम्पस में घास व झाड़ियाँ उग आईं। किसी भी प्रकार की महामारी के फैलने को रोकने के लिए प्रधानाचार्य व स्टाफ ने स्कल के कैम्पस को साफ करने का निश्चय किया। मैंने भी इस भले कार्य में सहायता की। मैंने फावड़ा उठाया और झाड़ियाँ काट डालीं। अगले दिन, मैंने मोटरचालित घास काटने की मशीन ली और घास को काट डाला। फिर मैंने घास में दवा डाली। मैंने सूखी घास तथा खरपतवार जला डाली। प्रधानाचार्यजी ने मुझे शाबासी दी।

Medical Science attracts me very much. I cherish a strong wish to be a doctor. To achieve this goal, I would like to take the following steps. I'll know the syllabus of RPMT (Rajasthan Pre Medical Test) and CPMT (Central Pre Medical Test). While pursuing schooling after tenth class, I would like to join a coaching centre also for the preparation of these tests. I'll use my whole energy, time and money for the success in these. 

अपनी डॉक्टर बनने की इच्छा पूर्ण करने हेतु उठाने योग्य कदम

I have a dream. I wish to obtain more than 90% marks in 10th class. I can make this dream come true. From the beginning of the session, I have made a 'Schedule For Studies' for whole of the session. From July to November, I'll complete my full syllabus by self-study and make notes from Sanjiv English Course'. In December, I'll make a quick revision and take ‘Half Yearly Examinations'. In Jan.-Feb., I'll buy a 'Sanjiv Desk Work' and attempt its 'Model Papers'. Thus, I can make my dream come true. 

मैं अपने स्वप्न को सच कैसे कर सकता हूँ

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, started the 'Clean India Mission' on Gandhi Jayanti in 2014. Under this mission, India is to be made clean and dirt free. Modiji has requested the countrymen to give two hours every week to community cleanliness. The Modi government is to construct 11.11 crore toilets across the country. Students should keep their schools and homes clean. Cleanliness saves us from sickness. Thus, it saves our money. Clean India will attract more tourists. There will be more business, prosperity and happiness. 

स्वच्छ भारत अभियान

प्रधानमंत्री, नरेन्द्र मोदी ने स्वच्छ भारत अभियान का शुभारंभ 2014 में गाँधी जयन्ती पर किया था। इस अभियान के तहत, भारत को स्वच्छ तथा गंदगी मुक्त बनाना है। मोदीजी ने देशवासियों से निवेदन किया है कि वे सप्ताह में दो घंटे सामुदायिक स्वच्छता को दें। मोदी सरकार भारत भर में 11.11 करोड़ शौचालयों का निर्माण करने जा रही है। विद्यार्थियों को अपने विद्यालयों तथा घरों को स्वच्छ रखना चाहिए। स्वच्छता हमें बीमारियों से बचाती है। इस प्रकार यह हमारा धन बचाती है। स्वच्छ भारत अधिक से अधिक पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करेगा तो यहाँ अधिक व्यापार, समृद्धि तथा खुशहाली होगी।

Yoga is of great value as a method of preservation of health and treatment of various diseases. Yoga chiefly deals with the removal of psychological pains. It also cleans and massages the internal organs. It regulates blood circulation, improves the lung capacity and eradicates all diseases - insomnia, hypertension, bronchial asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, cancer, AIDS, etc. Yogic stretching grows and survives body cells. Therefore, a yogi has long life. Thus, yoga keeps us healthy.

स्वास्थ्य के परिरक्षण व विभिन्न रोगों की चिकित्सा की विधि के रूप में योग बहुत महत्त्व का है। योग मुख्य रूप से मनोवैज्ञानिक दु:खों को दूर करता है। यह आन्तरिक अंगों को साफ करता है व मसाज करता है. है। यह रक्त प्रवाह को नियमित करता है, फेफड़ों की क्षमता में सुधार करता है व सभी रोगों का उन्मूलन करता है-अनिद्रा, अत्यधिक टेन्शन, ब्रॉन्किअल ऐस्मा (श्वासनली दमा), रूमैटॉइड आर्धाइटिस (जोड़ों का दर्द), डाइबिटिज, कैंसर, एड्स आदि। यौगिक फैलाव शरीर की कोशिकाओं को पैदा करता है व लम्बा जीवित रखता है। इसीलिए एक योगी लम्बा जीवन जीता है। इस प्रकार योग हमें स्वस्थ रखता है।

If a person, in his life, has EDUCATION - Efficiency, Dutifulness, Unbiasedness, Compassion, Attention, Trustworthiness, Imagination, Optimism and Non-violence, his life is a happy one. If one doesn't have these qualities, the life will be an unhappy one. And life without education is a beastial one.

Internet has its uses and abuses. It has a number of uses. Access internet for any piece of information about a govt. department or a private organisation. Job inquiries can be accessed upon it. Online examinations can be taken by using internet. Prominent personalities can be consulted. Bills can be paid. Exam-results can be seen. Rail/bus/air reservation can be received. But, internet has its abuses, too. It may lead to obscenity. Net-chat is also harmful. 

इंटरनेट : इसके उपयोग व दुरुपयोग

इंटरनेट के उपयोग भी हैं व दुरुपयोग भी। इसके बहुत से उपयोग हैं। एक सरकारी विभाग या प्राइवेट संगठन की किसी भी सूचना के लिए इंटरनेट का प्रयोग करें। जॉब पूछताछ भी इंटरनेट पर की जा सकती है। इंटरनेट के प्रयोग द्वारा ऑन-लाइन परीक्षाएँ दी जा सकती हैं। जानी-मानी हस्तियों से सलाह-मशविरा किया जा सकता है। बिलों का भुगतान किया जा सकता है। परीक्षाओं के परिणाम देखे जा सकते हैं। रेल/बस/हवाई जहाज आरक्षण प्राप्त किया जा सकता है। किन्तु, इंटरनेट के अपने दुरुपयोग भी हैं। यह अश्लीलता/फूहड़पन की ओर ले जा सकता है। नेट-चैट भी नुकसानदेह है।

Space technology is very much significant in today's international scenario. A nation with advanced space technology will remain prosperous and lead the world. By space technology we can get accurate information about the minerals, forests, rivers, climate and so on. It is also helpful in keeping a watch on enemy countries. It will be useful in bringing mineral wealth to the earth from other planets and satellites. It will be useful for communication also. Thus, it is highly significant. 

अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी का महत्त्व

अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी आज के अन्तरराष्ट्रीय परिदृश्य में बहुत महत्त्वपूर्ण है। अग्रणी अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी वाला राष्ट्र समृद्ध रहेगा व विश्व का नेतृत्व करेगा। अंतरिक्ष प्रौद्योगिकी द्वारा हमें खनिजों, वनों, नदियों, जलवायु आदि के बारे में सटीक सूचना प्राप्त हो सकती है। यह शत्रु राष्ट्रों पर नजर रखने के लिए भी सहायक है। यह अन्य ग्रहों व उपग्रहों से खनिज सम्पदा पृथ्वी पर लाने के लिए भी उपयोगी है। यह संचार के लिए 
भी उपयोगी रहेगी। इस प्रकार यह अत्यधिक महत्त्वपूर्ण है।

Today there are environmental imbalances but there are possible solutions too. The global warming is creating green house effect which is fast melting the icebergs. So, rivers are increasing the water level of the seas and oceans which will . drown the coastal areas. The solution is - grow more and more trees to counter the heat. Ozone hole is yet another problem. The solution is develop and maximize the use of solar energy. 

पर्यावरणीय असंतुलन व सम्भव हल

आज पर्यावरणीय असंतुलन है किन्तु सम्भव हल भी हैं। वैश्विक ताप ग्रीन हाउस इफेक्ट पैदा कर रहा है जो आइसबर्ग को तेजी से पिघला रहा है । अतः नदियाँ सागरों व महासागरों के जलस्तर को ऊँचा कर रही हैं जिससे तटीय क्षेत्र डूब जायेंगे। इसका हल है-ताप का मुकाबला करने के लिए अधिक से अधिक वृक्ष लगाएँ। ओजोन छिद्र एक और समस्या है। इसका हल है-सौर ऊर्जा के प्रयोग को विकसित करें व बढ़ाएँ।

Last week I visited the town of Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan. It is located at an elevation of 1220 metres. There is Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary in 290 kmof the mountain. There are Dilwara Jain Temples of 11th and 13th centuries AD. The Achalgarh fort, built in the 14th century by Rana Kumbha of Mewar, stands nearby. There is Nakki Lake with the Maharaja Jaipur Palace and Toad Rock. 

एक पर्वतीय स्थल की यात्रा

पिछले सप्ताह मैंने माउंट आबू कस्बे की यात्रा की जो कि राजस्थान का एकमात्र पर्वतीय स्थल है। यह 1220 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है। पर्वत के 290 वर्ग किलोमीटर क्षेत्र में माउंट आबू वन्यजीव अभयारण्य है। वहाँ 11वीं व 13वीं शताब्दी के दिलवाड़ा जैन मन्दिर हैं। 14वीं शताब्दी में राणा कुम्भा द्वारा बनाया गया अचलगढ़ का किला भी समीप ही खड़ा है। वहाँ नक्की झील है जिसके पास महाराजा जयपुर के महल व टॉड रॉक भी हैं। .

Yesterday, I went to see the exhibition at Ramlila Ground. It was a 'Book Exhibition’. I bought a ticket and made my entry. The exhibition was divided into six sections. East section was for the books for Humanities, west section for the books for Commerce stream, north section for Science stream, south section for Agriculture stream, mid section for the books for competitions and the south-west section for Entertainment and Refreshment. I bought some books, enjoyed some refreshment and came back. 

एक प्रदर्शनी का भ्रमण  

कल मैं रामलीला मैदान पर प्रदर्शनी देखने गया। यह एक 'पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी' थी। मैंने टिकट खरीदा और . प्रवेश किया। यह छ: भागों में बँटी थी। पूर्व का भाग कला संकाय की पुस्तकों के लिए था, पश्चिमी भाग वाणिज्य संकाय की पुस्तकों के लिए था, उत्तरी भाग विज्ञान संकाय के लिए, दक्षिणी भाग कृषि संकाय के लिए, बीच का भाग प्रतियोगिता सम्बन्धी पुस्तकों के लिए व दक्षिण-पश्चिम भाग मनोरंजन व नाश्ते के लिए था। मैंने कुछ पुस्तकें खरीदी, कुछ नाश्ते का आनन्द लिया और वापस आ गया।

The district level tournament was held this year in our school from 14 October to 20 October. Boarding and food arrangements for the teams were made in the school. On the first day the Collector inaugurated the tournament. There was a football match between the teams of Fort School and Khalsa School. Different matches were played during the five days. On the last day final match was played. The Education Minister was invited. He gave away the shield to the winner team. It was a grand event.

जिलास्तरीय टूर्नामेंट इस वर्ष हमारे स्कूल में 14 अक्टूबर से 20 अक्टूबर तक आयोजित किया गया। टीमों के रहने व भोजन की व्यवस्था हमारे स्कूल में थी। प्रथम दिन जिलाधीश ने टूर्नामेंट का उद्घाटन किया। फोर्ट स्कूल व खालसा स्कूल की टीमों के मध्य फुटबॉल का मैच खेला गया। पाँच दिनों की अवधि में विभिन्न मैच खेले गए। अन्तिम दिन फाइनल मैच खेला गया। शिक्षा मंत्री को आमंत्रित किया गया था। उन्होंने विजयी टीम को शील्ड प्रदान की। यह एक शानदार उत्सव था।

The time was of severe winter. By chance my friend came there and I could reach school.

Corruption means to earn money by illegal ways. In India it has been a grave problem. There are Bofors Scam, Fodder Scam, 2G Scam, CWG Scam and so on. Newspapers report that it has become a type of 'Facility Charge'. We are among the worst corrupt countries. Now the question is how it will be eradicated.

It also suggests to keep the surroundings clean. Clean surroundings keep a person healthy and free from diseases. Mosquitoes take birth in dirty water and unclean surroundings. They spread these diseases. We still don't have proper treatment for these diseases. Precautions are better than treatment. We should keep our body covered so that the mosquitoes of these diseases can not bite us.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam The personality given in the picture of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He was born on 15 Oct. 1931 in Rameswaram. He studed at St. Joseph's College in Tirucherapalli. He was a professor, author and an aerospace scientist. He worked as a science administrator at DRDO and ISRO. He is also known as the missile man of India. He was the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. He was given the Bharat Ratna Award in 1997. He died on 27 July 2015 in shillong, Meghalaya, India.

The picture shows the problem of noise pollution. People use loudspeakers, amplifiers, speakers, mikes etc. which spread noise pollution. Strong horns of vehicles noise of engines of aeroplane and trains and factories also create noise pollution. Noise pollution causes many diseases like stress, tension, high blood pressure, headache etc. The Supreme Court has banned the use of loudspeakers after 10 p.m.

We should grow more and more trees.

Thus, we must follow traffic signals.

This picture shows a train accident. There is a head on collision between the two passenger trains near a very small railway station. Both of the trains are at the same track. The engines and the coaches of both the trains have derailed and fallen down. There are dead bodies. Many police personnels are there. The rescue work is going on. There are people enquiring about their kith and kins. Thus, it's a heart-rending train accident.

The bar chart confirms the above statement. 2.28 lac foreign tourists came to India in 2001, 2.07 in 2002, 2.72 in 2003, 3.45 in 2004, 3.91  in 2005, 4.44 in 2006 and 4.97 in 2007. Thus, the inflow of foreign tourists is increasing every year except the year 2002. This credit goes to the union and state govts. Development of the tourist spots and creation of infrastructure have greater say in it.

The increased socio-economic status of urban population coupled with inadequacy of public transport has encouraged personalized means of transport. The craze for owning vehicles in urban centres has led to considerable noise and air pollution. The acceptable noise level is 50 db as prescribed by Ministry of Environment and Forest (1989). Delhi has the highest noise level of 83 db, followed by Kolkata 82 db, Mumbai 80 db and Chennai 77 db by the day. At night, Delhi has 77 db and Mumbai 71 db.

Literacy in Rajasthan has been the point of discussion and action. Post Independence period of over sixty years has carried it from 8.02% in 1951 to 67.06% in 2011. The decadal growth has been almost 7% in 1961, 4% in 1971, 5% in 1981, 14% in 1991, 22% in 2001 and 7% in 2011. Thus, the progress in literacy has been very slow. The efforts are on. We hope, it will improve soon.

The given diagram displays the growing trend of Rajasthan's population. It was 1.03 crore in 1921, 1.18 in 1931, 1.39 in 1941, 1.51 in 1951 and 2.02 in 1961. It doubled up in 40 years. It was 2.58 crore in 1971, 3.43 in 1981 and 4.40 in 1991. It again doubled up in only 30 years. It was 5.65 crore in 2001 and 6.86 in 2011. Thus, it's growing but its increasing rate has fallen in the last decade. 

राजस्थान की जनसंख्या का बढ़ता हुआ रुझान
