I would choose political history as the theme. It would be interesting to find out about the histories of different rulers and kings. India is proud to be a land of many brave rulers who ruled different regions of the Indian subcontinent. Many of them laid down great administrative and political policies for the generation to follow. These rulers, had also helped to establish characteristics of good leaders. Not only this, study of political history will also give us insights of their families , wars and battles, relations with the other countries and the reasons why the empires of those great rulers collapsed.

What are the difficulties historians face in using manuscripts?
Answer: 
While using manuscripts the historian faced following difficulties:

  1. There was no printing press in those days so scribes copied manuscripts by hand, which was difficult to understand.
  2. As scribes copied manuscripts they also introduced small changes while writing. These small differences grew over centuries.
  3. Historians have to read different versions of the same text and guess what the author had originally written.
  4. The manuscripts of the same text became different from one another and historians have to depend on the copied version as original are rarely found.
