Question 1.
Find the value of the unknown exterior angle x in the following diagram:
RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 1
Answer:
As we know that sum of interior opposite angles of a triangle is equal to exterior angle of triangle.
Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angle
x = 50° + 70° or x = 120°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 2
Answer:
Exterior angle = Sum of opposite interior angles
x = 45° + 65° or x = 110°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 3
Answer:
Exterior angle = Sum of interior opposite angles
x = 30° + 40° or x = 70°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 4
Answer:
Exterior angle =Sum of interior opposite angles
x = 60° + 60° or x = 120°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 5
Answer:

Question 2.
Find the value of the unknown interior angle x in the following figures:
RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 7
115° = x + 50°
(∵ Exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of its two interior opposite angles.)
⇒ x = 115° - 50°
⇒ x = 65°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 8
Answer:
100° = x + 70°
(Exterior angle property of a triangle)
⇒ x = 100° - 70°
⇒ x = 30°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 9
Answer:
125° = x + 90°
(Exterior angle property of a triangle)
⇒ x = 125° - 90°
⇒ x = 35°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 10
Answer:
120° = 60° + x
(Exterior angle property of a triangle)
⇒ x = 120° - 60°
⇒ x = 60°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 11
Answer:
80° = x + 30°
(Exterior angle property of a triangle)
⇒ x = 80°- 30°
⇒ x = 50°

RBSE Solutions for Class 7 Maths Chapter 6 The Triangles and Its Properties Ex 6.2 12
Answer:
