→ The four major domains of the earth are:

1. Atmosphere,
2. Hydrosphere,
3. Biosphere.

→ The solid portion of the Earth, the one we live on is called the Lithosphere.

→ The gaseous layers that surround the Earth, is the Atmosphere.

→ Water covers a very big area of the Earth’s surface and this area is called the Hydrosphere.

→ The Biosphere is the narrow zone where we find land, water and air together, which contains all forms of life.

→ There are seven major continents:

1. Asia
2. Europe
3. Africa
4. North America,
5. South America
6. Australia
7. Antarctica.    

→ There are five major oceans on the ealrth:

1. Pacific Ocean,
2. Atlantic Ocean,
3. Indian Ocean,
4. Southern Ocean,
5. Arctic Ocean.

→ Asia is the largest continent and the Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the World.

→ The atmosphere is divided into five layers starting from Earth’s surface:

4. Thermosphere
5. Exosphere.

→ The organisms in the biosphere may broadly be divided into two parts:
