ध्वनि पर आधारित प्रश्न में चार शब्द दिये होते हैं। प्रत्येक शब्द में एक या दो अक्षर रेखांकित होते हैं। इनमें से एक शब्द के रेखांकित अक्षर या अक्षरों की ध्वनि अन्य दिये गये शब्दों से भिन्न होती है। इस भिन्न ध्वनि वाले शब्द का वर्णांक लिखना होता है, जैसे

Question 1.

ऊपर दिये गये शब्दों में से look शब्द में 00 की ध्वनि हिन्दी के अक्षर 'उ' है। अन्य शब्दों में 00 की ध्वनि हिन्दी के अक्षर 'ऊ' की आती है। इसलिये कोष्ठक में look शब्द का वर्णांक (d) लिखा जायेगा।
